The Greek economy decreased by 0.2% in the second quarter of 2014 against the same period of 2013. This is stated in the report of the Statistical Office of Greece.
Reduction in the level of GDP is observed 24 consecutive quarters, but slowed considerably since the first quarter of this year, being less than experts had predicted. According to some data, the decline of the economy was revised upwards from 0.9% to reach 1.1% in the first quarter, while the drop of 0,5% was expected from April to June.
